My art practice has been informed by my rich history of creating art since childhood. From early experiments with collage and fabric to expanding my practice to include text scores, I have been exploring the ways in which art, craft, and sound can be used to tell stories and spark conversations. In 2017, I decided to take this exploration a step further and created Stitchedsongpending. Combining my passions for listening, found poetry, sound, movement, assemblage, and textile imagery, I set out to explore how collaborative art practices can be used to support and enhance wellbeing. Since then, my art projects have been used in a variety of contexts to create meaningful experiences and conversations. I am passionate about continuing to explore the ways in which art can be used to bring people together and create positive personal and societal change.
