Rachel is passionate about teaching, hosting workshops, and giving back to the community. She currently is a trustee at Hebden Bridge Arts but has also worked with Oxfam. She was Course Leader at Wigan College HND Textiles, and Fractional Lecturer for Bolton University, Blackburn College, and Manchester Metropolitan University until she began her socially engaged journey. 

Her work experience also includes working as a State Registered Podiatrist for the Trafford Health Authority and in Private Practice. She has held the position of Workshop Leader for a variety of organizations such as schools, galleries, Higher Education Institutions, Further Education Institutions, and adult well-being support initiatives.
